K-8 State Championship March 2-4
The K-8 State Championship is being held March 2-4 in Rockford IL.

Important note - early registrations were recieving notice that JTP would not be accepted at the State Tournament - The organizer of the event and the Illinois Chess Association have decided that JTP wil be accepted.
Parents, if you are planning on attending the Illinois Chess Association’s K-8 State Championships on Mar. 2-4, 2012 at the Clock Tower Resort, 7801 State Street, Rockford, IL, you will need to book your room(s) right away.
To book your rooms please call (815)398-6000 or Toll Free: 1-800-358-7666 and use prompts 2, 1, 1. This will take you to an individual that will be able to make your reservation into the block of rooms that have been reserved. Depending on who you get you will need to confirm this is for the chess event otherwise, they may tell you the hotel is booked for the weekend.
Please note that there are also roll-a-ways available for an additional $10 per room. We are also pleased to announce that the BNASC has also reserved two rooms to be used for skittles for our Bloomington-Normal players and families during the State Championships. This will be a great opportunity for our area players and families to get to know and support each other.
